The backing is sturdy enough to stay flat on a shelf without curling at the edges, which is more than I can say for other repro patches I’ve handled. It’s a clean, no-fuss piece that fits right into my collection.
The stitching is crisp and the colors really pop against the dark fabric—it looks like it just came off a period uniform. I’m using it to anchor a small display case next to my jump wings, and it’s exactly the clean, authentic touch I wanted.
I’ve been collecting PIR insignia for years, and this patch’s clean weave and precise border stitching really capture the original look. It sits perfectly on a display board without any fraying, and the colors are true to period photos.
