9 Square Granny Throw (Crochet)

The PDF downloaded instantly and the US crochet terms made it easy to follow along. I'd only made granny squares from video tutorials before, so having the written pattern right there on my tablet was a nice change. Three squares in and they're actually coming out square.

Finished my first square in one evening and the instructions were clear enough that I never had to re-read a row twice. Having all 9 squares laid out in the PDF made it easy to plan my color order before I even picked up the hook. Already started square two.

The PDF is written in US terms and the stitch counts for each square actually matched up, which saved me a lot of frogging. I used a worsted weight cotton and the squares came out to about 8 inches each, so the finished throw is a nice lap size.
