The stretchy fabric actually holds the tube tight, so my lip balm doesn't slide out when I dig around in my bag. I've stopped buying replacements every other week since it's always on my keys now.
Clipped this to my keys about a month ago and my lip balm hasn't gone missing since. The woven fabric grips the tube just tight enough that it doesn't slide out in my bag, and it still pulls free easily when I need it.
The stretch fabric hugs the tube tight enough that it hasn't slipped out once in my bag. Only thing is the clip feels a little stiff on my jeans loop, but it holds.
