Bruce Springsteen, Badlands, NJ, 1978

The casual, unposed feel of this shot is what sold me — it doesn't look like a staged press photo at all. Hung it above my record player and the 1978 Jersey street setting fits right in with the Badlands-era vibe. Print quality is sharp too.

The black-and-white grain in this print is gorgeous, and Bruce's relaxed smile outside that Jersey building feels totally candid rather than posed. It's hanging in my hallway now and every guest asks about it.

The contrast is decent but the print doesn't have the same depth as the original negative. It's a nice piece for a fan, but I've seen sharper gallery prints before.
