Freddie Mercury, Queen, 1982

Got this for my home office and the dramatic shadows across his face make it feel like he's about to step off the wall. The candid 1982 shot has way more personality than the polished studio portraits I've seen. Print quality holds up great even up close.

The contrast in this black-and-white shot is gorgeous, and it really does feel like a candid moment rather than a posed studio portrait. Hung it above my turntable and it's easily the best thing on that wall now.
