The candid feel of this shot is what sold me — he's mid-laugh with that wild hair, nothing staged about it. Hung it above my record shelf and the paper has a nice matte finish that doesn't glare under my lamp.

Didn't expect the print quality to be this sharp for a 1975 shot — you can actually see the texture of his shirt and the way the light hits his face. It's hanging in my office now and every Dead fan who walks in stops at it.

The candid feel of this one really stands out next to the stiff studio portraits I've seen of him. His casual attire and that relaxed expression make it feel like a friend snapped it backstage. Been on my wall a month and it still catches my eye.
