Used this on a hot desert hike last weekend, and my pup was noticeably more comfortable after I wrapped it around his neck. The cooling effect lasted a good couple of hours before I had to re-soak it.

The soaking step takes less than a minute and the cooling effect lasted through our whole loop trail. My dog actually seemed to enjoy wearing it, which is saying something for a picky hound. Summit selfie came out great with it on too.

Our pup wore this on a hot afternoon hike and actually seemed more comfortable than usual at the end—the soaking trick really does drop the body temp a bit. Tied it snug and it stayed put the whole way, even through some brush. Perfect little accessory for summit photos.
