The linen has that slightly rumpled, lived-in texture right out of the wash, which is exactly what I wanted. Used them for a dinner party and the contrast trim made the table look pulled together without any effort on my part.

The two-tone scalloped edge is what sold me, and in person the contrast looks even better against my plain white plates. French flax linen has that slightly rougher, real-fabric feel that softens after a wash or two. Four of them cover my table nicely without being fussy.

The scalloped edges are sewn so neatly, and the two-tone linen makes my dinner table look way more put-together than it actually is. Even after a full wash cycle, they came out soft with no wrinkling mess.
