Type 75 Task Lamp

The spring mechanism is so smooth and precise, it holds any position I set. I love that it's a modern take on the classic Anglepoise design—feels like a piece of history on my desk.

I've wanted one of these since I saw it in a design museum gift shop, and the '70s silhouette finally lives on my desk. The arm glides into position with barely a nudge, though I do catch myself repositioning it just to watch the springs move.

The three-spring tension mechanism holds every angle I set, even after weeks of daily use. The weighted base keeps it from tipping when I pull the head close for soldering work, which is exactly why I replaced my old clamp lamp. Feels like a piece of design history that actually earns its keep.
