Discover the Nightriders 3 inch blind box figures by Nathan Jurevicius. Learn what makes them unique, who they're best for, and how to decide before buying.
Quick answer
If you're a fan of Nathan Jurevicius' surreal world-building and enjoy the surprise of blind box collecting, the Nightriders 3 inch figures are a charming addition. But they're best for those who appreciate the art and mystery, not for collectors who need to know exactly what they're getting.
Why the Nightriders are more than just mini figures
Nathan Jurevicius is a Canadian-based Australian artist known for his imaginative characters and rich mythology. The Nightriders are a particular breed of nocturnal bird spirits that wander between the supernatural world and earth-bound gods, communicating with unseen forces. This backstory adds a layer of meaning to each figure, making them feel like small pieces of a larger narrative.
If you're new to blind boxes, the appeal isn't just the figure itself—it's the unboxing experience and the thrill of discovering which character you get. For existing fans, completing a collection can be a rewarding goal, but it also comes with the challenge of duplicates.
The trade-off: blind box surprise vs. certainty
The main trade-off with any blind box is that you don't choose your figure. If you have a specific character in mind, you might be disappointed. On the other hand, the randomness can introduce you to designs you wouldn't have picked yourself, which is part of the fun for many collectors.
Also, consider the size: at 3 inches, these figures are compact enough to display on a shelf or desk without taking up too much space, but they might feel small if you're used to larger collectibles.
Decision rules for buying Nightriders blind boxes
- You love the art and lore: If you appreciate Nathan Jurevicius' world-building and the Nightriders' mythology, the blind box is a low-cost way to own a piece of that universe.
- You're okay with not choosing: If you're comfortable with the surprise element and don't mind potentially getting a duplicate, the blind box format works for you. Consider buying more than one to increase your chances of getting the figure you want.
- You need a specific character: If you must have a particular Nightrider, a blind box isn't the right choice—you might end up with a figure you already have. Look for sellers who offer open-box options or trade with other collectors.
