Waded through waist-high brush for three hours and never once worried about what was underfoot—the 17-inch height really does cover you from toe to knee. The side-zip makes getting them off after a long day a whole lot easier than wrestling with laces, too. These are staying in my truck all season.

The side-zip is handy when I need to get them off fast after a long walk, and the 17-inch height covers my shins well. They’re stiff out of the box and take some breaking in, but the snake protection feels solid enough for thick brush.
