The merino wool is so soft and doesn't itch against my neck like cheaper knits do. I wore the Songbird shade with a cream sweater and got three compliments before lunch. The 3.5" size is just enough without feeling oversized.
The merino is so soft it doesn't itch at all, even against my thin hair. The alligator clip actually stays put through a whole day of errands, which never happens with my other bows.
The alligator clip holds well in my fine hair, but the knit is chunkier than it looked online. For $30+ I expected the Loire bow to be a bit more refined, it kind of swallows the side of my head.
