The gingham pattern is subtle enough that it works for weeknight dinners but still looks put together when we have people over. Linen wrinkles, sure, but that's kind of the point with this fabric and it softens more with each wash.
The linen is weighty and drapes nicely without sliding around during dinner. Only thing is it arrived with a couple of deep creases that took some ironing to smooth out.
The gingham pattern is subtle and looks nice on my wood table, but after the first wash it came out pretty wrinkled and I had to iron it for a while. It's fine for casual dinners, just not as low-maintenance as I'd hoped.
