18 měsíců příprav vedlo k focení v Japonsku, na které se nezapomíná. Bambusový háj Arashiyama v Kjótu byl destinací, kterou jsme si představovali od samého začátku. Týdny focení bez odpočinku, přesto byl záběr stále nepolapitelný. Trpělivost byla klíčová, protože vysoký počet turistů přidal k nepředvídatelnosti Matky přírody, její větrné podmínky způsobily, že se bambus houpal a ohýbal, takže záběr nebylo možné zachytit. Čas se krátil a zbýval už jen jeden den, poslední noc byla poslední a jedinou příležitostí zachytit skutečnou zenovou atmosféru, pro kterou je Japonsko proslulé. Když padla noc, začal jemný déšť, který zvýraznil barvu bambusu a proměnil les v opravdu kouzelné místo.
