The basil really comes through and the pine kernels give it a nice little crunch. I've been spreading it on toast all week since I'm off dairy, and the extra virgin olive oil makes it taste fresh rather than heavy.
Stirred a spoonful into warm pasta and it loosened up beautifully without any dairy heaviness. The basil and pine kernels come through sharp and bright, and the olive oil base gives it a nice glossy finish.
I was skeptical about a pesto with no dairy, but the extra virgin olive oil keeps it rich enough that I don't miss the parmesan. Stirred a spoonful through warm pasta and it loosened up beautifully.
