The hand-painted carrot detail on the rim is what sold me, and it looks even better in person with a bowl of tomato soup. Because it's handcrafted, mine has slightly uneven edges, which honestly makes it feel more special than a machine-made plate.

The hand-painted carrot design is cute, but the plate feels a bit smaller in person than I expected for a soup bowl. It works fine for a light lunch, though the glaze seems thinner on the bottom edge.
