På dagen, hvor jeg tog dette billede, var det Ansel Adams' fødselsdag – manden bag nogle af de mest ikoniske sort-hvide billeder af Yosemite. Jeg havde tilbragt et par dage i Yosemite med virkelig dårligt vejr, men jeg holdt ud, fordi der ikke er noget bedre til dramatiske billeder end at fotografere et opklarende uvejr. Jeg vandrede op til Inspiration Point under et tæppe af tyk tåge. I løbet af et par timer brændte tågen væk og sank ned til dalbunden. Bridal Veil Falls så ud til at gløde, mens det strømmede ud af sin bjergomgivne enklave. Dette sted er en fotografers Mekka, og med rette – det må være en af de smukkeste lokaliteter i verden. Dette billede opstod lige for mine øjne, alle naturens elementer i perfekt harmoni.
