The hand-dyed merino has this subtle color variation that you just don't get from machine-made bows. I clipped it on the right side of my hair and it held through a whole afternoon of errands.
The alligator clip actually stays put through a whole workday, which I wasn't expecting from something this delicate. Hand-dyed merino means the color has these subtle variations that photos don't quite capture. Wore it on a plain cardigan and got three compliments before lunch.
The merino wool is genuinely soft and the hand-dyed color has a depth you don't get from cheaper knits. My only gripe is the alligator clip—it's a bit stiff to open, so I fumble with it on thicker hair. Still, the Loire bow shape holds up nicely after a few wears.
