The blue onyx has these subtle veins that catch the light differently depending on where you set them, and the weight of the marble base keeps them from tipping over even with tall tapers. I've already rearranged my mantel three times just to see the stones at different angles.

I bought these for my dining table and the grey marble bases are surprisingly heavy, so they don't tip when I move the candles. The brushed brass cups hold standard tapers snugly, and the satin stone finish catches the light nicely at night.

The blue onyx veining on these is even prettier in person than in the photos, and the satin stone feels cool and substantial in the hand. They've been on my dining table for a month now and the brass accents still look polished, no tarnishing at all.
