Miles Davis, drikker æblejuice i Gleason's Gym, NYC, 1970

The contrast in this print is gorgeous—the sweat on his arms and the bottle’s label both pop without losing any of the gym’s grain. Mounted it in a simple black frame and it instantly became the focal point of my study. Captures that raw, mid-thought energy perfectly.

The archival matte finish gives it a museum-quality feel, and the detail in the background—the gym ropes, the light on the apple juice—is sharper than I expected from an old shot. It's a quiet, human side of Miles that you rarely see, perfect for my studio wall.

The archival print quality really shows in the details of Miles’s expression—crisp and true to the 1970 NYC gym vibe. This shot of him mid-sip is the perfect centerpiece for my music room, and the platinum finish option makes it feel like a gallery piece.
