No.12 Skillet & Lid Set

Cooked a whole chicken under that lid last night and the self-basting ridges kept everything so moist I didn't even need to baste once. The whole set being solid cast iron, knob included, makes it feel like it'll outlast my kitchen cabinets.

The self-basting ridges on the lid actually work—my pot roast came out noticeably juicier than with my old flat cover. The whole set feels like it was machined decades ago, and the knob staying cool enough to grip is a nice touch.

Took it out of the box and was struck by how heavy and solid the whole set feels—the lid alone is a beast, but the seasoning is smooth and even. I love that the knob is cast iron too, so I can pop the whole thing in the oven without worrying about melting anything.
