Battery-operated and wire-free meant I could stick it on the ceiling in the hallway without calling an electrician. Been running a few weeks now and it hasn't false-alarmed once, even when I burned toast.
Got a notification on my phone within seconds when I tested it with a candle, which is exactly what I wanted for peace of mind while at work. The wire-free setup took maybe five minutes since there's no drilling or wiring involved.
The 10-year battery means I don't have to think about it, which is honestly the whole reason I bought it. Got a push alert on my phone within seconds when I tested it with a bit of candle smoke.
