The dobby stripe gives these a little texture that plain white pillowcases don't have, and the Oxford edge sits nicely against my duvet. Egyptian cotton at 400 thread count feels cool and smooth, no scratchiness at all.
Washed these before first use and they came out of the dryer almost wrinkle-free, which I wasn't expecting from cotton. The 400 thread count feels substantial without being heavy, and the Oxford edge gives my standard pillows a nicer finished look.
The dobby stripe is subtle enough that it doesn't clash with my patterned duvet, which was my main worry. After three washes the cotton has softened up nicely and the oxford edge keeps its shape. Standard size fits my pillows with a bit of room to spare.
