The expandable pockets are a lifesaver for shoving in a jacket or groceries on the fly, and the laptop sleeve keeps my work stuff snug and separate. It holds way more than it looks like it should, and the canvas feels sturdy enough for daily abuse.
The water bottle sleeve in the side is what sold me—my old totes never had that and it's a game-changer for my daily commute. Both expandable pockets cinch down nicely when I'm carrying light, and the secure zipper pocket keeps my keys from vanishing into the abyss.
The laptop sleeve fits my 14-inch with room to spare, and the expandable pockets swallow my gym stuff without bulging awkwardly. I've tossed this bag around for two weeks of commutes and the canvas is already breaking in nicely. The secure zipper pockets give me peace of mind on crowded trains.
