Ich stellte den Wecker auf 5:00 Uhr morgens, um früh dort zu sein und die Schönheit von Martha's Vineyard einzufangen. Ich wusste, dass der Morgen die perfekte Stimmung für dieses Bild schaffen würde, da es die ganze Nacht zuvor stark geregnet hatte. Ich wanderte hinunter zum Wasserrand, als die Sonne aufging – der Nebel begann sanft zu leuchten. Die dicke Nebeldecke erzeugte ein echtes Gefühl von Geheimnis, fast wie ein Geisterschiff aus der Vergangenheit. Mit den Nebelhörnern im Hintergrund stellte ich mein Stativ auf, rahmte das Bild ein und drückte den Auslöser. Als ich diesen Druck zum ersten Mal in voller Größe sah, war ich erstaunt, wie gut ein Foto die Stimmung eines so magischen Ortes wie Martha's Vineyard einfangen kann.
