Massives Eichenholz, schwarzer Lack

I was worried the black stain would look flat in person, but the lacquer gives it a subtle sheen that shifts with the light. It's on my Knitting Chair and the oak still feels solid, not plasticky like some stained finishes.

The black lacquer finish on this oak is flawless, completely even with no drips or dull patches. It's a heavy, solid wood that feels sturdy rather than hollow, and the black stain still lets the grain show through just enough.

Wasn't sure how black-stained oak would look in person, but the lacquer gives it this deep, even sheen with just a hint of grain still showing through. Feels solid and heavy in a good way, not like veneer at all. Months in and no chips or fading.
