Massives Walnussholz, lackiert

I was worried the lacquer would make the walnut look plasticky, but it actually keeps the grain really visible while feeling smooth to the touch. Wiped it down with a damp cloth after a spill and it held up fine, no dull spot left behind.

The clear lacquer on this walnut is genuinely tough — my keys have scraped across the table edge more than once and there's not a mark. Grain still shows through beautifully, which is what sold me over a darker stain.

I've had this finish on my knitting chair for a couple months now, and the clear coat has held up perfectly against daily use. The walnut grain still looks deep and rich, not washed out like some cheaper lacquered pieces I've owned.
