The deep, savory richness hits immediately—this is the most umami-packed matcha I've ever whisked, and Kikuoka-san’s single-cultivar care really shows in every sip. I've already reordered twice.
I've been through a lot of matcha over the years, and this Asahi cultivar from Uji is on another level. The richness is unreal, but it still has that clean, smooth finish that makes you want another bowl right away. Kikuoka-san really earned that award.
The richness score on this one is no joke—it’s the deepest, most umami-packed bowl I’ve had from Uji, and Kikuoka-san’s growing really shows in the smooth, creamy finish. Whisking it up feels almost ceremonial since the micro-lot quality comes through in every sip.
