Macizo, Roble, Pintado en Negro, Laca Mate

I was worried the mat lacquer would look chalky in person, but it just reads as deep black with a soft sheen that doesn't glare under my lamps. The oak grain still shows through faintly, which I appreciate more than I expected.

The mat lacquer on this black oak is exactly what I hoped for — it's soft to the touch without the plasticky shine you get from other finishes. Six months of daily use on my dining chairs and the paint hasn't chipped once.

Wasn't sure how the mat lacquer would hold up on a dining table, but three months of coffee cups and homework later there's not a scratch or ring on it. The oak grain still reads through the black, which I didn't expect from a painted finish.
