That gooseberry nose is exactly as described—so fragrant you can smell it before the glass even reaches your lips. Poured a chilled bottle with dinner and it stayed crisp and refreshing right to the last drop.
It's got that crisp, refreshing finish I look for in a white, and the gooseberry comes through on the nose without being too sweet. Poured a glass for friends and they all asked what it was before I'd even said a word. Perfect for a sunny afternoon.
The gooseberry nose is exactly as described—it hits you the moment you pour, and the taste follows through with that same clean, zesty character. I opened it with a light lunch and it held its own beautifully, staying crisp from first glass to last. This is easily my new go-to English white.
