Bought this for my niece who’s obsessed with mystery novels, and she finished it in two sittings—said the pacing was perfect for a YA thriller. It’s the second book in the series, so make sure you read the first one, but the story stands strong on its own.

The puzzles in this one had me flipping back through earlier chapters more than once, which I love in a mystery. It’s the second in the series but you can jump in cold and still feel the tension build. Finished it in two sittings because I had to know how the clues tied together.

I cracked this open on a Friday night and lost the whole weekend to it. The YA pacing keeps the tension tight without dumbing anything down, and the murder mystery genuinely surprised me twice. If you're into interactive fiction where you're actively piecing clues together, this second installment d
