Hackle Pliers

These jaws really lock down even the smallest hooks without crushing them, and the grip is just right for tying size 18 wets without slipping. Works exactly as a fly tier needs.

The spring tension on these is just right for gripping hackle without crushing the feather barbs. I've been tying size 14 Adams dries all week and the pliers hold steady while I wrap. Way better control than the tweezers I was using before.

I tie size 18 midges constantly and my fingers always fumbled the hackle until now. The fine tips hold even the smallest feathers without crushing the stem, and the grip stays comfortable through a whole evening at the vise.
