The board arrived heavier and more substantial than I expected, and the lacquered finish on those black and cream triangles is genuinely striking on the table. Even the box it came in felt premium, which made unpacking it a nice little ceremony before our first game.
The board is much larger than I expected, so games feel more like an event now. The lacquered finish on the black and cream squares gives it a nice weight and shine that’s held up well after a week of daily play.
The black, white, and cream pattern pops beautifully on our game shelf, and the board’s large size makes every move feel substantial. We’ve already had three game nights with it, and the lacquered finish wipes clean easily after snacks.
