The granny square crochet work is really neat, no loose ends poking out anywhere. The tapered crown keeps it from slouching down over my eyes, which was my worry with bucket hats. Wore it all weekend and got compliments both days.
I have a 23 inch head and the L/XL fits perfectly without slipping down over my eyes. The granny square stitching is neat and tight, way better than the loose crochet I've seen at craft fairs.
I grabbed the L/XL and the tapered crown sits perfectly without squishing my forehead. The granny square crochet work is tighter than I expected, so it holds its shape instead of flopping. Wore it all day at the lake and forgot I had it on.
