I've used this on old pine window frames and the linseed oil smell is strong at first but fades after a couple days. The paint is thin, which I actually liked because it soaks into the wood instead of just sitting on top. Two coats gave me a soft white that feels traditional rather than plastic.

The white pigment covers beautifully and the linseed oil base means it breathes with the wood, so I don’t worry about trapping moisture. I’ve already done two coats on a window frame and it’s cured to a tough, satin feel that looks like it belongs on an old house.

The texture went on so smoothly and that breathable finish is exactly what my window frames needed—they can finally let moisture out without peeling. I’ve used plenty of paints before but this one feels properly traditional, and the white coverage is beautifully even after just two coats.
