The carving tool included is actually sharp enough to get fine details on a vase, which surprised me for a kit. I’ve made three pinch pots and a candle holder so far, and the clay stayed workable the whole session.

My girlfriend and I spent a whole rainy Saturday on these kits and the clay was way more forgiving than I expected for beginners. The sculpting tools gave us enough variety to try pinch pots and a weird little vase without needing anything extra.

The carving tool set that comes with this bundle is surprisingly sturdy and made shaping my little candle holders so easy. My partner and I spent the whole rainy Saturday on our matching pinch pots, and the clay stayed workable from start to finish. Really glad we picked this for date night.
