I was worried the patchouli would make this too earthy, but it just grounds the Bulgarian rose and keeps it from turning syrupy. The bergamot opening is bright enough that I've been wearing it to the office, and it still smells incredible on my scarf eight hours later.

The patchouli and sandalwood keep this from turning into a sugary rose, which is exactly what I wanted. Six hours in, the vanilla and heliotrope soften everything into something warm and a little powdery on my skin.
