Scientific Anglers Skagit Short -perhosiima

The 380-grain version loads my 11-foot rod beautifully, and the short head makes those tight pocket-water casts a breeze. I’m impressed with how effortlessly it turns over big streamers, and the line shoots line out of the guides without a hiccup.

The aggressive taper on this Skagit Short loads my 11' 6-weight perfectly, turning over heavy tips without any hinge. I've been getting cleaner, more controlled casts on the Deschutes for steelhead, and it roll casts like a dream. A solid improvement over my old Scandi setup for sinking lines.

The head's weight distribution feels perfectly matched to my short Spey rod, letting me control the cast with barely any effort. I've been swinging for steelhead all week and the line turns over cleanly every single time.
