Gene Davisin Hot Beat kuuluu Smithsonian American Art Museumin pysyvään kokoelmaan. Hänen on siteerattu sanoneen: ”Tuntui oikealta, kun astuimme kuusikymmentäluvulle, että väri hyppäsi suoraan seinältä ... On kuin olisin halunnut huutaa kuiskaamisen sijaan.” Kirjoitat varmasti rohkeasti tällä Tornadolla, joka on painettu vastaavilla raidoilla jäljitelläkseen tätä maalausta.

The rollerball glides so smoothly on paper, and that vibrant 'Hot Beat' stripe pattern really pops in person. It’s a comfortable weight for long writing sessions too.

The color bands on this pen genuinely pop, way more than I expected from a product photo. It writes like a proper rollerball too, no skipping or blobbing on cheap notebook paper. Nice little piece of art I can actually use every day.

The rollerball glides really smoothly and the Hot Beat color stripes are way more vivid in person than I expected from the photo. It's a small thing, but writing with a piece of art history in my hand makes my notes feel less boring.
