The board’s weight and solid wood feel make it feel like a real piece of furniture, not just a game. The pieces glide across the lacquered surface so smoothly that even my casual games feel more deliberate. Set it up on the coffee table and it instantly elevates the whole room.
The lacquered finish on this board is absolutely gorgeous in person, catching the light in a way photos just don't capture. I've already played a dozen games on it, and the solid wood feels both sturdy and elegant—exactly what I hoped for in a statement piece for the living room.
The solid wood board is surprisingly heavy and feels like it’ll last decades, and the pieces glide across the lacquered surface without any sticking. I’ve played three matches already and each setup feels like a little ceremony.
