I threw a can into a stew last night and the beans held their shape perfectly, no mush at all. Firm texture and that mild nuttiness made it feel like a proper hearty meal, plus 340g is a decent size for two servings.
The nutty taste is exactly as promised, and they stayed firm through a slow-cooked stew without turning mushy. I've been adding them to salads for a quick protein boost and the texture holds up brilliantly every time.
Added half a tin to my usual lunchtime salad and the firm texture held up really well against the dressing, which was a nice surprise. The protein and fibre content makes these a solid pantry staple for quick stews on busy weeknights.
