I put one in the laundry room after a hose burst last winter, and the Wi-Fi alert hit my phone before I even saw the puddle. Setup took maybe two minutes through the app, no hub needed. For the price, this little thing buys a lot of peace of mind.
Stuck it under the kitchen sink and it pinged my phone within seconds of a slow drip from the disposal pipe. The little sensor sits flat on the floor so it catches even shallow puddles. Setup was painless and I finally stopped worrying about the basement.
The Wi-Fi pairing took me two minutes and now I get an alert on my phone whenever moisture shows up in the basement. Tested it with a wet paper towel and the alarm fired almost instantly, which is exactly what I wanted.
