Sono costantemente alla ricerca di scene che parlino all'anima, dove gli elementi della natura convergono in perfetta armonia. Il vecchio molo di legno – invecchiato e consumato – si protendeva sulle acque blu profondo del lago tranquillo. 

Il cielo rispecchiava le tonalità blu scuro del lago, creando una tela di blu malinconici sopra e sotto. Il cielo coperto, carico di nuvole, prometteva uno sfondo drammatico. Una lunga esposizione è stata perfetta per rendere la superficie dell'acqua come un'espansione liscia e riflettente, in contrasto meraviglioso con il molo ruvido e testurizzato. Il movimento delle nuvole ha creato un gioco dinamico di luce e ombra in un modo che sembrava quasi ultraterreno.
