L'ultimo giorno del Tootsies originale fu un freddo giorno d'inverno, gelido. La mia amica era lì con la sua band, così caricai una luce e le mie macchine fotografiche nel mio El Camino e guidai fino in centro per documentare il momento. Willie e Kris entrarono nel bar mentre eravamo già pronti, così ne fotografai un paio in piedi nella mia postazione, poi Willie prese in prestito la chitarra di Leeann e suonò "Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground". Il bar è continuato come luogo turistico sotto nuova gestione, ma la vera anima se n'era andata, ma non in quel giorno d'inverno.
