A$APロッキー、スモーク、ニューヨーク、2011年

The contrast between the smoke and the dark backdrop is stunning in person, the gallery-grade print quality really makes the moody texture pop. I find myself stopping to look at it every time I walk past — it's the kind of piece that makes the whole room feel cooler.

The way the light catches the smoke against that deep black background makes the whole image feel like a moment frozen in time. I've had it up for a week and keep noticing new details in the shadows around his face.

The grain of the print really brings out the texture in the smoke and his jacket, making it feel almost cinematic. I've been staring at the quiet tension in his expression since it arrived — it’s already the focal point of my living room wall.
