アメリカで最も息を呑むような美しいドライブコースのひとつが、キーウェストへと続くハイウェイ1です。ドライブ中に目にする深い青のネオンウォーターと沿道の植生は、まさに壮観です。海岸線には無数の防波堤や桟橋が点在していますが、フロリダキーズを象徴する完璧な場所を探していました。キーウェストへ向かう途中、太陽は真昼の空高くにあり、美しい白い雲が遠くへと伸びていました。そして突然、青い海の中から、私を海と楽園の彼方へと導く防波堤が現れたのです。
The deep blue neon water in this piece is what sold me, it captures that Overseas Highway stretch perfectly. Hung it in my hallway and it honestly makes me feel like I'm back on that drive every time I walk past.
Picked this up after driving Highway 1 down to Key West last spring and it captures that stretch perfectly — the deep blue neon water really does look like that in person. The colors along the road with the fauna are just as vivid as I remember.
