My hands aren't what they used to be, so the way this thing grips the can edge on its own is a huge help. You just set it on top and twist, no squeezing or fighting with it. Best five bucks I've spent on the kitchen in a while.
I was skeptical about another "twist" can opener, but this one actually grabs the rim on its own and cuts cleanly without me having to lever it around the edge. Took me maybe ten seconds to open a tomato paste can one-handed, which is a first for my weak grip.
The automatic edge grip is genius—I just set it on the lid and twist, and it cuts cleanly without me having to hold the can steady. Goes through a whole stack of cans without any hand strain, which my arthritis really appreciates.
