The ceramic feels really solid and weighty, and it's just deep enough to keep the butter covered without the lid sliding off. I've had mine on the counter for a week and it's the perfect little functional decor piece.
I love that the butter dish keeps a standard stick at perfect spreading temperature without melting. The glazed finish wipes clean instantly, no fuss at all.
The lid fits snugly enough that I don't worry about it sliding off in the fridge, but it's still easy to pop open one-handed while buttering toast. Perfect for keeping a stick at room temp on the counter all day.
