I wore this for a week straight and forgot I even had it on — the paperclip links are that light. The tiny hearts catch the light just enough without being loud, which is exactly what I wanted for layering.
The hearts really are tiny, almost like a little secret you keep for yourself, which is exactly what I wanted for a subtle everyday piece. The paperclip links feel sturdy despite how delicate the chain looks, and it hasn't tangled once since I started wearing it.
I wear this layered with a longer pendant and it never tangles, which I wasn't expecting from such a fine chain. The hearts really are tiny—barely bigger than a grain of rice—so it reads as subtle rather than cutesy.
