The charging is super convenient, just plug it in via USB and it's ready to go. The red is such a rich, happy color—it makes my nightstand feel like a cozy little gallery.
I keep this little lamp on my balcony and the half-bubble shade throws a surprisingly warm glow for something so small. Charging it once got me through three evenings out there, which I didn't expect from a rechargeable.
The red pops way more than I expected against my white bookshelf, and the stacked half-bubble shape looks like a little sculpture even when it's off. Being able to unplug it and move it to the balcony for dinner is the part I use most.
